Pastor’s Epistle October 2017
From the desk of
The Reverend Angela K. Ebo

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in mouth.”
And to that I say: to God be the Glory!
I must give our God total praise for all that He has done for me, through me and with me! And yes, in all of God’s marvelous works, I’ve seen God’s right hand moving, molding and making disciples right here at Evansburg United Methodist Church “O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure” Isaiah 25:1.

And look at God! Well, we are definitely on “the move”! During our first few months together, we are making great strides at becoming The Church in Collegeville that everyone wants to visit. Since I’ve begun as the new pastor, we’ve had several visitors who have returned more than once; we’ve initiated a “back to school supply drive” in conjunction with three weeks of prayer for school children, teachers and parents of school age children. We’ve gathered supplies for “health kits” (for UMCOR) for those affected by the hurricanes; we’ve had our first baptism with me as the new pastor; all the while our outreach team continues to help out at the Haw’s Avenue Soup kitchen. Our children’s once a month Saturday program (CLICK) continues to be the highlight of the community, hosting as many as ten children for a morning filled with activities and nutritious snack. All the while, God’s hand is molding each of us to become disciples that will go further into the community (and the world) and proclaim the Good News that Jesus Christ is Lord! Amen!
Yes! God is holding each of us in the palm of His hands…as we peek through the potter’s door, we see him with our spiritual eyes holding us and molding us to be used for His purposes. Since my last epistle to you, we had our Annual Picnic on the second Sunday in September in which we ate, we laughed, and we ate again; all the while standing in awe of who God is. We’ve resumed our Wednesday evening bible studies (at 6:30 pm) and in a little while, Evansburg will host a wedding ceremony, with Pastor Kellie officiating. Our EPA United Methodist Men will have their annual meeting of the minds over a breakfast that Evansburg will host.
Yes, my brothers and sisters Evansburg is the church in Collegeville that you definitely want to visit and yes join us in fellowship after worship with delicious food; just a little something for you to think about. Evansburg is waiting just for you at 3871 Germantown Pike, Collegeville, PA 19426.

Worship time is at 10 am.
God’s peace and grace to each of you,
Reverend Angela Kellie Ebo
